Comprehensive Week-Long Fishing Camp for Kids (Ages 10 - 14)
Welcome to the Jersey Devil Kids Fishing Camp, an immersive and educational experience designed to introduce children aged 10 to 14 to the captivating world of fishing. Our week-intensive camp goes beyond the basics, teaching skills from knot tying to casting and engaging in the thrilling art of fighting fish. Embracing the natural beauty of New Jersey's marine environments, this camp provides a holistic approach to fishing education.
Camp Objectives:

- Knot Tying: Master the essential skill of tying various fishing knots.
- Casting Techniques: Learn the art of casting with precision and accuracy.
- Fish Fighting Strategies: Discover the thrill of engaging and landing different fish species.
- Diverse Fishing Environments:
- Tidal Rivers: Explore the rich ecosystems of New Jersey's tidal rivers.
- Boats and Kayaks: Navigate the waters on boats and kayaks for a hands-on fishing adventure.
- Environmental Education:
- Conservation Principles: Understand the importance of responsible fishing and marine conservation.

- Affiliation with 'Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs' Program:
- Positive Recreation: Our camp aligns with the State of New Jersey's 'Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs' program.
- Teenage Engagement: Designed to provide a positive recreational outlet during the critical teenage years.
Camp Schedule (2025):
● Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:
○ Time: 8 am – 12 pm
○ Location: Fair Haven Dock, at the end of Fair Haven Road.
● Wednesday:
○ Time: 8 am – 12 pm
○ Location: Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina, 2 Simon Lake Drive, Atlantic
Highlands, NJ (half-day charter aboard the Little Hawk).
● Thursday Boat Trip aboard the Jersey Devil:
○ Location: Fair Haven Dock
○ Time: 8 am – 12 pm
○ Note: 6 kids will embark on the Jersey Devil boat, while the other 6 engage in
camp activities at the dock.
● Friday Boat Trip aboard the Jersey Devil:
○ Location: Fair Haven Dock
○ Time: 8 am – 12 pm
○ Note: The remaining 6 kids will go on this trip, while the initial 6 enjoy activities
at the dock.
● Refund Policy: Once payment is received, refunds are not available. However, you may
transfer your spot to another participant.
● Weather Policy: In the event of weather-related cancellations, days will not be
rescheduled. We will let you know the day of 7AM if camp will be scheduled.
● We gift them a new fishing pole, a shirt and a hat.
